What is this?

Renewable energy is energy that is derived from natural sources, such as sunlight, wind, tidal energy, hydroelectric energy, geothermal energy, or biomass, that is replenished at a rate consistent with or faster than the rate at which it is used. Renewable energy sources do not cause depletion of irreplaceable resources and are typically much less carbon-intensive than other energy sources, making them a crucial component in reducing global climate risk.
